Course Description:
This 4-week online course introduces participants to the intricate art of miniature painting, focusing on creating stylized compositions featuring birds and flowers. Combining traditional techniques with a contemporary approach, the course is designed to guide students step by step, from initial sketches to a completed painting.
You will learn about the history of miniature painting, develop fine linework skills, and explore techniques for composition, color layering, and gold detailing. By the end of the course, you will have created a detailed miniature artwork that reflects your personal style within the traditional framework.

Several A4 sheets of tracing paper
Several A4 sheets of photocopy paper
Several A4 sheets of hot pressed watercolour paper 300gsm
Ruler
Mechanical pencil 0.5, eraser, hb pencil
Palette
Compass
Tubes of gouache paints: black, white, yellow ochre, burnt umber, cadmium yellow, ultramarine, orange (any), red, green (such as Olive or sap green, Winsor green, emerald green)
 Size 000,0 and 1 watercolour brushes (my recommendation is Winsor and newton Sable Series 7 kolinsky watercolour brush)
Size 2 synthetic brush
